I am Nirusha Nadarajah, an Engineer turned Artist. Sri Lanka based artist who's work is strongly inspired by nature. I explore detailed and delicate mediums to paint my subject on. Making miniature art on leaves and feathers. Starting with cleaning and drying, the canvases are preserved before painting the subject. Adding layer on layer of pigments, gradually giving life to the subject. Strongly inspired by nature, my craziness towards collecting leaves and feathers combining with my passion towards art, have encouraged me to give life to the fallen by turning them to an art. Over the years I have learnt to see life in everything around, which makes my work unique. I hope my paintings give people a feeling of positivity through preserved canvases, bright, fresh and natural.
